We believe Pilates is for everyone, no matter your age, fitness level, gender or ability, we offer a form of Pilates and Yoga that will work for you. Our mission is about making pilates accessible with an aim to inspire, ease confidence and a sense of possibility that lasts long after you walk out of the door.
As our name states, Pilates & More is more than just Pilates. While our passion and core values embrace traditional Pilates principles, we believe that by offering our clients a full range of functional movement and mind practices, we can provide a more rounded wellness experience than just the traditional Pilates studio. We offer a variety of reformer, mat and small apparatus classes and the occasional splash of ‘pop up’ High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)to spice up the dull and bored or a meditation class to quiet the monkey mind and soothe the soul.
In our classes, you will be taught how to work through a full functional range of movement to not only develop your stability, mobility and flexibility but to ensure that muscles become strong without becoming bulky and shortened but rather lengthened and stretched. With an extensive repertoire of exercises that range from easy and basic to extra challenging and difficult – Pilates will satisfy your exercise goals.
Our teachers, while being passionate about their craft, are industry trained and affiliated. We infuse our Pilates classes with quality technique, care and a sense of humour. Although we embrace the traditional Pilates methods combined with evidence based exercise principles, each of our classes share a common theme, placing emphasis on thoughtful sequencing and offer modifications so you can gently build on and master your practice at your level along the way.
Use the Pilates Reformer machine to tone, stretch, balance and relax your whole body every single session. Excellent for improving posture and building strength and endurance. If you’re new to group Reformer Pilates you should start with at least 6 level 1 classes before you consider moving to level 2.
Basic Practice – Level 1
New to Pilates or need a brush up? In our beginners classes, you and the reformer will get to know each other while getting the hang of foundational Pilates principals and sequencing to inspire confidence before joining any class.
Building on from the foundational principles, you will be challenged with a greater variety of the exercise repertoire, utilising the reformer and small apparatus.
SMALL GROUP PILATES
A customised workout to address your personal goals, body posture and muscle balance, also ideal if you have injuries, or athletic aspirations. Work in a group of no more than 4 students using the full range of Pilates equipment
BOSU EXPRESS (30mins)
A high intensity cardio class that will also challenge your strength, stability and coordination. The perfect recipe for reducing body fat, (20 min High intensity plus core and posture stability exercises)
If you’re new to high intensity exercise please let your instructor know, and ask them to help you gradually build intensity.
Clinical Pilates has evolved from traditional Pilates to become the most safe, effective and specific method of retraining the strength and core stabilising muscles in your body. It is used by people of all ages and physical abilities, including athletes for rehabilitation and injury prevention in combating chronic (long term) or recurrent injuries, especially back pain but also neck, shoulder, hip, groin and knee pain/injury. Our objective is to ensure that you enjoy a better quality of life by improving and optimising the utility and movement of your body across all aspects of life; at work, at home, with the kids, at sport or the gym. Anyone who is recovering from an injury, or has an ongoing injury, especially around the neck, spine or lower back/hips/pelvis region would benefit from a targeted clinical pilates program. Below are some conditions that we commonly work with;

Pilates and more Clinical Pilates, is a comprehensive form of assessment and exercise treatment that is specifically tailored to your needs and condition through a series of specific exercises for improved physical conditioning.
Goals and exercises will be determined based around our comprehensive screening 1:1 assessment.
Our 1:1 assessment will included a thorough history and physical examination including muscle and biomechanical testing identifying the key issues to assist in the development of a safe and effective program enabling our instructors to skillfully apply selected exercises to clients with specific injuries.
Once the initial assessment has been completed and the framework to your rehabilitation program has been written you will then be eligible to participate in the clinical Pilates small group sessions. In this session you will continue to work on your individual program supervised by our experienced instructors with a maximum of up to 4 participants.

GUIDED MEDITATION &
Experience a guided meditation which includes body based mindfulness, breathing, relaxation, either sound; mantra; observation techniques; insight or visualisation and time for stillness. Also within our one hour class, learn mindfulness based stress reducing techniques to take away with you and use during your day.
Whilst these meditation and mindfulness techniques have their roots in the world’s wisdom traditions, this is a non-denominational class. Body Based Mindfulness is the first step to leading a more present and aware life. A simple moment of relief, releasing stress and tension, because you are worth it!
