STUDIO

A retro church revived!  Enjoy this fully equipped Pilates and more studio with a 40 ft vibrant stained glass window backdrop.

 

Our main studio is equipped with the highest quality professional Pilates equipment including 10 Reformers, Rehabilitation Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Bosu balls and small apparatus.

 

A separate smaller space invites our yogis and meditation participants a cocooned, warm and soothing space without visual distraction.

HOW OFTEN TO COME?

If Pilates is an addition to your exercise program, we recommend attending 2 classes a week, but if this is going to be your only form of exercise then popping in once a week is never going to become a habit and the results that you are after just won’t happen.

FOR PEACE OF MIND & MENTAL WELLBEING

The well documented anti-depressant and anxiety reducing effects of exercise last about 24 hours, so your mental wellbeing will be greatest with a daily exercise practice.

FOR WEIGHT LOSS, FITNESS & SERIOUS STRENGTH

You'll need to come 3 - 4 times per week and we recommend sessions spaced 2-3 days apart ideally.

For optimal weight loss you should also maintain a balanced diet but reduce your daily calories by 500 (The same number of meals but 25% smaller servings)

FOR POSTURE, FLEXIBILITY & GENERAL STRENGTH

We recommend attending 3 classes per week, spaced 1-2 days apart to allow for recovery.

POLICIES

NO SHOES

We all love a nice, clean and safe place to practice…shoes are great for protecting our feet but attract dirt and grit which can impact on the safety and performance of the machines.

 

SOCKS

(Preferably with grip –available at the studio) MUST be worn – again this is about safety and hygiene.

Beautiful, colorful (or not) cotton Toesox can be purchased at the studio.

 

MOBILE PHONES

This is your total hour of power.. yogis/meditation friends and other practitioners may also be utilizing other rooms within the studio.   Phones are to be switched to silent/non vibrating mode please.

 

LITTLE PEOPLE

As much as we love to see the extensions of you, mobile babies and toddlers are not permitted into the pilates studio. There are lots of moving parts on the reformers where little fingers and toes can easily get caught. 

BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS

You will be asked to complete a medical history prior to your first class.  Please arrive a little earlier to complete and to discuss any areas of concern with your instructor

Based on your answers, we may require your doctor to provide us with medical clearance before you attend. Check the risk stratification at the base of the form for details, or give Fiona a call on 0427505197

WHAT TO WEAR/ BRING

Loose or stretchy clothes that are comfortable, cool and allow you to move freely are best. Water bottle and/or small towel are highly recommended.

ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY

We'd love to show you around the studio if there's time, and we'll need a minute to check over your medical history form. You'll enjoy class all the more for feeling unhurried.

All group classes start promptly. For the safety and enjoyment of all participants you cannot enter class more than 2 minutes after the start time.

BOOK AND WAITLIST CLASSES FROM YOUR PHONE

Download the Pilates & more app for iPhone and Android. You can use the app to book, waitlist, cancel or reschedule your classes. You can also view your schedule and purchase credits. You can also use the app to update your personal information, communication preferences and credit card details.

WAITLISTS

If a class is fully booked you can join the waitlist and receive an email & text message once you're placed in class. You can respond to the sms with Y to accept your spot or N to pass your spot on to the next person on the list. This system works really well so don't despair if your desired class is full, just use the waitlist. You'll most likely get in.

NO-SHOW & LATE CANCELLATIONS

When people no-show for classes or cancel at the last minute, other clients often miss out.  For small and large group classes, you can cancel up to 2 hours prior to the class start time. If you late-cancel (cancel less than 2 hours before the start of class), or no-show for class you'll be charged for the class.

REPEATED NO-SHOWS OR LATE CANCELS

If you rack up 3 late-cancels or no-shows within a calendar month, your booking privileges will be suspended for 7 days and any classes you have booked will be automatically cancelled. You can still attend class, you just can't book.

This policy is designed to allow for the normal ebb and flow of life whilst discouraging habitual snooze-button hitting.

CHANGE ROOMS & PERSONAL BELONGINGS

We don't have lockers. Instead there are cubby holes in the studio to leave your personal belongings, shoes can be left in the foyer on the shelves provided. We recommend you take your valuables with you into class. Just make sure your phone is off.

SORRY, NO SHOWERS YET!

Stage 2 of our Studio rebuild will include a shower.

NO GLASS IN THE STUDIO

If you want to bring a drink into class, please use a metal or plastic container. Broken glass is a hazard for folk in bare feet.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Please always check our website or MINDBODY online for schedule changes. Pilates & more prides themselves on running to the schedule, but reserves the right to cancel classes if necessary.

  2. Doors close strictly on time  for safety and security. Late entry is not permitted.

  3. All purchases are final.  Pilates & more does not offer refunds on services or products for change of mind, injury, illness, change of address or any other reason.

  4. All purchases are non-transferable, non-refundable or interchangeable.  20 Pass Class may be shared with one immediate family member.

  5. Direct Debit Fortnightly Membership $72 Plan – Minimum 2 fortnightly payments (2 x $72).   The membership will automatically renew and will continue on a monthly basis until terminated per terms by either party. Default payments: $5-10 decline fee may be deducted for any unsuccessful transactions. Suspensions (Holds): Maximum 1 hold per 3 months. Not to exceed 28 days in 12 months. A form must be completed at the studio to activate a suspension. A $5-10 admin fee will be charged for any account adjustments.  Termination: To discontinue, a cancellation form must be completed at the studio. The Direct Debit must be active for one full payment cycle (minimum^) prior to cancellation. All contracts are ongoing until such time that both cancellation form completed at the studio & an email to info@pilatesandmore.com.au received.  ^Note, terminations received within 7 days of the next payment can not be adjusted or cancelleds.

  6. Pilates and more reserves the right to review and increase prices from time to time without notice.

  7. All Passes (purchases) have expiration dates. These are published at the studio please take note of these dates. No extensions permitted unless by prior arrangement.

  8. Suspensions/Holds: Permitted on Direct Debit only.

  9. Double classes: Fortnighty unlimited membership clients are entitled to attend as many class as they like on a fortnightly occurrence. Clients on Class Passes will be charged for each class if participating in more than one class on the same day.

  10. The class packs and unlimited memberships exclude attendance at guest teachers classes, workshops, retreats, or other special events.

  11. The Intro Offer is valid from date of purchase. The Intro Offer is available for new members, once only. No holds, extensions, transfers, refunds. ‘Intro offer’ valid once only to new students.

  12. Re-Intro Offer is available to students who have not visited Pilates and more in the last 6 months. ‘Re Intro’ offer available once only per student.

  13. Intro and Re-Intro Offer are for local residents only.  Proof of address may be required.

  14. Pilates and more reserves the right to update or modify the terms and conditions at any time.  The terms and conditions displayed on the website terms will be considered the current terms and will override all and any other prior communications.
